Today’s reading: Psalm 106:1-107:43

My selection: Psalm 107:1-3

1 Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good,

for his steadfast love endures forever!

2 Let the redeemed of the Lord say so,

whom he has redeemed from trouble

3 and gathered in from the lands,

from the east and from the west,

from the north and from the south.

My reflections: God’s shows redeeming grace in the lives of His people who are in all kinds of trouble: wandering homeless in the desert, dying in prison dungeons, sick on the verge of death, or facing shipwreck on stormy seas. He delivers His own who call to Him and those He delivers are called to give Him thanks.

My challenge: How has God delivered you? Does your thanks match His great power, mercy and grace?

Thankless people are on the road to idolatry (Romans 1:21). If you have been redeemed, say so!

Tomorrow’s reading: Psalm 108:1-114:8
